Ethical Health Finance Technical Working Group Pays Advocacy Visit to BOSCHMA.

The Ethical Health Finance Technical Working Group paid an advocacy visit to the Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOSCHMA), led by its Chairman, Ambassador Shettima Jafar Imam alongside the Co- Chairman Alhaji Abba Bukar, Secretary Ali Grema and members of the group Alhaji Lawan Maina, Abba Aji, Alhaji Mammuda indimi ,Bukar Meremi, Asheik Mohammed Jabbal, Hassan Mamman  and Adama Muhammad.          

During the visit, Ambassador Imam gave a brief overview of the group, stating that Lafiya UK supports the initiative as part of its programme aimed at strengthening the healthcare sector in the state. He highlighted that the purpose of the visit was to explore areas of collaboration, particularly in resource mobilization and effective coordination oto support healthcare financing.

The group is working towards complementing the BOSCHMA objectives through strengthening identified available foundation and guiding them on focusing to the health services activities for the less privileged in the society.

In his response, the Executive Secretary of BOSCHMA expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the delegation of the Agency’s full support and collaboration towards achieving the group’s objectives. He reaffirmed BOSCHMA’s commitment to partnerships that will enhance sustainable healthcare financing and improve access to quality healthcare services across the state.

The visit marks a significant step towards strengthening ethical and alternative health financing mechanisms to support the health sector in Borno State.
