In a bid to strengthen the digitized healthcare system in Borno State, Borno State Contributory Health Management Agency (BOSCHMA) organized a one-day capacity-building training for healthcare providers and SQA officers on the Effective Management of Electronic Claims.
The training was designed to equip participants with the skills to process claims efficiently, reduce administrative delays, and ensure transparency and accountability in the health insurance scheme.
Declaring the training open, the Executive Secretary of BOSCHMA noted that maximizing the use of the electronic claims platform is critical to improving efficiency and accountability in healthcare financing. He urged participants to take the sessions seriously as the agency continues to optimize the fully digitized claims system.

The sessions were facilitated by Dr.Aishatu Ibrahim Abdulmumin of UMTH, Mustapha Mohammed, Head ICT BOSCHMA, and Dr.Inna Alimi, DSQA BOSCHMA. Participants also engaged in practical demonstrations and live data exercises to strengthen their capacity for real-time claims processing on the e-claims platform.

Speaking after the session, participants commended BOSCHMA for the initiative, noting that the training will help reduce errors, speed up reimbursements to health facilities, and improve service delivery to enrollees.
BOSCHMA reaffirmed its commitment to continuous training and the optimal use of technology as part of efforts to deliver quality, affordable healthcare to the people of Borno State under the contributory health scheme.
