BOSCHMA STUDY TOUR TO GOMBE STATE CONTRIBUTORY HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT AGENCY (Go-Health). The Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOSCHMA) embarked on a three-day study tour to the Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (Go-Health) as part of efforts to strengthen health insurance implementation and service delivery in Borno State. The study tour, which lasted for three days, aimed to provide BOSCHMA with practical insights into the operational structure, success stories, and best practices of Go-Health in the areas of enrolment, claims management, quality assurance, and facility coordination. On the final day of the visit, the BOSCHMA team, led by Dr. Inna Alimi, Director of Standard and Quality Assurance, visited key health facilities in Gombe State, including Kaltungo General Hospital, Tudun Wada Primary Healthcare Centre, and the State Specialist Hospital, Gombe. During the visit, Dr. Inna Alimi and her team interacted with healthcare providers at the various facilities to discuss their operational experiences, challenges, and gaps in service delivery. The discussions also focused on effective solutions and strategies that have contributed to the successful implementation of the health insurance scheme in Gombe State. The study tour provided a valuable learning experience for BOSCHMA, as the team gathered first-hand knowledge to enhance the agency’s policies, strengthen healthcare delivery, and ensure the smooth implementation of health insurance programmes across Borno State. The visit concluded with mutual appreciation between both agencies, highlighting the importance of inter-state collaboration in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and improving access to quality and affordable healthcare for all citizens.
