The Executive Secretary of the Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOSCHMA), Dr. Saleh Abba Kaza, alongside members of the agency’s management team, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Kashim Ibrahim University, Prof. Babagana Gutti.

The BOSCHMA delegation was received by the Vice-Chancellor and other principal officers of the university during the visit.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Saleh highlighted the agency’s mandate and ongoing efforts to expand access to quality healthcare services across Borno State. He stressed the importance of health insurance coverage for students and staff of tertiary institutions.

He also introduced the Tertiary Students Health Insurance Programme (TSHIP), describing it as an initiative aimed at providing students with affordable and quality healthcare services, while staff members would benefit through a separate health insurance arrangement.

The Executive Secretary emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between BOSCHMA and the university to improve healthcare coverage and promote the wellbeing of both students and staff.

In his response, Prof. Babagana Gutti commended the BOSCHMA management for the visit and appreciated the agency’s efforts toward improving healthcare access in the state.

The Vice-Chancellor assured the agency of the university’s support and full participation in the successful implementation of the programme within the institution.
