The meeting, held on Wednesday at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) of the State Eye Clinic Hospital in Maiduguri, brought together key stakeholders, including Principal Medical Officers (PMOs) and Pharmacy Personnel from various secondary health facilities. In his opening remarks, Dr. Saleh Abba Kaza, the Executive Secretary of BOSCHMA, underscored the importance of synergy between BOSCHMA and service providers to ensure the smooth rollout of the Formal Sector Scheme and to guarantee uninterrupted access to quality healthcare services for enrollees. Participants deliberated on practical strategies to enhance supply chain coordination, ensure timely drug procurement and distribution, and improve communication and reporting channels between healthcare facilities, BODMA, and BOSCHMA. Discussions also addressed the need for greater accountability and transparency in the drug management process to ensure the sustainability of the scheme. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment among stakeholders to strengthen collaboration between BOSCHMA, BODMA, and facility leadership to achieve continuous drug availability, efficient claims processing, and improved service delivery for all beneficiaries under the Formal Sector Health Insurance Scheme.
